The YHD Summer Camp 2021

The goal of the YHD Summer Camp is to create an interactive walk through history that can be accessed throughout the community and develop: critical thinking, problem solving, cultural enrichment, research & documentation skills.

SPATIAL MEMORY PROJECT

This summer the YHD are conducting a spatial memory project. Students will select businesses and empty lots on primarily 24th, and then 16th and 30th Streets, observe what is currently there and research its history. The final part of the project asks students to reimagine spaces and discuss what could or should be in those spaces to benefit the community.
